Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
The quarian medical situation really changed overtime. It went from "any exposure what so ever will be lethal" to "moderate prolonged exposure" to "actual fleshwounds".
I dont buy into the idea that medical expenses are enough to keep them out.

I think it would be more their population issues that would keep them out. Sending even a significant amount of them away would most likely send their growth rate sinking.

They came right out and confirmed turians are in, but when asked about quarians said they'd be talking about it later.
I don't know, I think that speaks volumes.

They probably won't say anything until December when they unveil the gameplay premiere at the Video Game Awards.

i just want to stick my dick in a female turian.
Thats pretty much the only possible saving grace.
a female krogan may also be acceptable.

Uh, why have loyalty missions, if they don't affect the story or ending(s)? Even ME2 did it, if it effects were not huge.
They are not planning to make this trilogy? Didn't they do exactly same thing with first ME. It was not planned to be trilogy. Yet it ended up being one, but with lot of future plot points thoughts over the years, which resulted quite messed up story at times.
And now they might be doing it again. *Sigh*

because it didn't really make sense in ME2 to begin with and as far as we know currently there is no suicide mission this time around.
most of the crew in ME2 was suppose be a crew of professionals, hell Legion is machine and Grunt have no problem as long as he shoot stuff etc.
I'm just saying.
ME was planned as trilogy from the beginning, but BW pretty said they were going to make it up as they went a long, it's one of the reasons why Cerberus became a big thing in ME2.

Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
Loyalty missions in ME2 made perfect sense. Shepard didn't want the team to perform badly due to personal distractions, like Tali being exiled and growing more and more distant. Shit, she outright says that it doesn't matter that she's exiled because they'll probably die anyway. That's not the kind of mentality you'd want with you on a suicide mission. The rewards for the loyalty missions were just executed in weird ways.

@yanickrroy Is the Andromeda Initiative a way to escape the reapers? We know the launch is 2185 (ME2) Will be connections between stories?
Yanick Roy @yanickrroy
@grimjowonmars These are not people running away from danger, they are racing toward the biggest adventure in humankind's history

@yanickrroy Ok thx. But is there no other reason than "we go to andromeda because we can" ? Everyone on forums ask what is the link ME/ME:A
Yanick Roy @yanickrroy
@grimjowonmars Oh, you're asking if there are secret reasons? If I told you, I wouldn't be very good at keeping secrets...

So literally the worst f-ing possible moment for it to make sense. Galaxy is gearing up for war, most governments and organizations at least suspect the existence of some huge-ass galactic menace about to strike... and, once again, a bunch of bozos with lots of money puts togheter 5 megastructures, probably the biggest things organic life has ever built, and they just fuck off without nobody noticing or caring.
Set it inbetween ME1 and 2 guddamitt, say something like they salvaged some piece of tech from the remains of the Sovereign that lead to a breakthrough that made possible complete and launch the Arks! At least TRY to have it make a wee-bit amount of sense in-context with the original games!

If it had been less for shit and giggles and more because the Earth is fucked up after the invasion, I could have been a bit more invested.
And don't anyone start with the whole "it takes such a long time to get to Andromeda" shtick, because 600 years is an arbitrary number. They could have easily said that they incorporated some mass relay tech that trimmed that amount of years down to something more manageable like 30. Sci-fi stories takes liberties like that all the damn time.

I think the whole 600 years thing is more about if BW wants to go back to the Milky Way they kind ignore the choices of ME3 and you know the ending.
and they'll probably even make some fun at some the original trilogy plot points that doesn't really make sense.

To be fair I have a scenario where they CAN do exactly that.
Make a Blasto movie about it (keeping "what really happened" a mystery) and have whatever ending we choose in games be the ending of the film, but done in a really over the top way and have some fans of Blasto mimic our criticisms.

We'll just make a trilogy of Blasto movies so the criticisms can span all three games.

Judging by the the tech demo, she speaks in full, legible sentences, which at least is already a massive improvement.

Yes. Yes it is.
Every horrible, grating, annoying thing about Sera is her fault. It's not that she has an accent, it's that the sentences she strings together, half of which are nonsense and the rest "quirky".
I've (mildly) disliked Bioware characters before, but she's the only one whom I truly loathe. My biggest disappointment with Inquisition is that of all the people I can theoretically execute for literal amusement, somehow she's not on the list.

Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
I fear that I'll grow weary of that "uniqueness" very quickly. Don't come up with shit just to have something new and different. Make it work instead. There are plenty of cliches and old tricks that I won't mind if they use, because they work. The typical revenge quest is one of them. If spun in an intelligent and thoughtful manner, it can be VERY entertaining.

I'd rather have a normal person with an actual personality instead of being a walking personality trait. A character who has goals and thoughts about other things in their life outside of the main story. Someone who's believable. That's one of the reasons I liked Tali. She behaved like an actual person and not some writer's pet project.

Bioware's thinks normal people are like Kaidan in ME1 and Jacob.

with all the information we have at the moment, there is around 8 humans we seen, there is the Ryder Father, the Ryder Twins (who are the main playable characters depending on your choice.), the lady who funded the project, Liam, the female human from the gameplay demo from the sony conferences, there was also two human in the recent trailer that weren't anyone of the other as far as we know.

yeah, it's like not having aliens in Star Wars or Star Trek, because whatever company believe that we don't want to see aliens because they are weird.
although to be fair this isn't the first time Bioware have made dumb comments like that.

I'd say that Kasumi still was more interesting to listen to than any of the DA:I characters. She won me over by not trying to be quirky (or "random"), but rather due to her observations that fitted her style.
It's like the difference between Overwatch's humor and Borderland's humor. The first embraces its characters and shapes the humorous moments around them whereas the latter just flings shit at the wall and hopes something sticks.

Except that's 100% cockney behaviour though...
I mean, seriously that is the exact way cockney works. It's an inner city slang language. If it were inner city speak based around a US dialect it'd be exactly the same, except you could understand where that one's roots are. The entire point of cockney and it's mannerisms as a dialect is to confuse those who use the queen's English/proper structured English. It was a code, and a lot of it is subtext and known between other users of it.
In universe the Inquisitor is caught up enough to "get it" in the fact to know she speaks cockney. You, in real life, just don't like it.
I mean, is it my fault I can't understand the Japanese Genji says in Overwatch (until I went and learned that is) or was it the character's fault for speaking in Japanese?

Except people are all made up of personality traits.
Garruss: Professional, humerous, hard working, tenacious, lives free and easy, loyal.
Wrex: Loyal, family driven, wise, intimidating, stoic.
Tali: Bubbly, quirky, techie, shy, sly, exotic.
Liara: Dull, boring, blue, dreadful, crap, why, was, she, pushed, as, canon, LI?
Ashley: Family driven, military, tough, no-nonsense, abrasive.
I mean I get what you're saying but they can't exactly give the character's entire biography away because it most likely contains a lot of spoilers.
