I can't wait to get my hands on those.
The models too.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeey!
Seriously though it's gonna hopefully give a renaissance of Mass Effect Art, or I hope it will.

Combine that with a flycam mod and one could get some visually updated versions of all the old pictures from back in the day. You know, for science. And the historical record. No other reasons.

Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
It would be interesting in the Legendary Edition if the combo effects in ME3 are ported over to ME2. It was much more enjoyable and satisfying in ME3 to watch you hit someone on fire with a detonation power.
Also I wonder if they're adding the Cerberus logo to the levels in ME1, maybe even give the baddies the familiar yellow/white color scheme. Or possibly any other retconned details.

That would be nice. And since it'd amount to little more than reskinning some enemies, I could see it happen.

So it would seem that ME:LE is getting a giant Day1 patch, almost the size ME2 was at launch.
Good thing they didn't brag about all the old bugs they fixed, isn't it? lol

This is the correct answer. 4 man (3 wo-man) squad, Shepard, ME1 Tali, ME2 Tali, ME3 Tali, and nobody ever asks the obvious. Shotguns and drones for days.
Ah, memories. I inevitably did the Talimance every time I played ME2 (ME1 was usually Liara, Ash once, and always trying to find a secret route to Tali). Only did ME3 twice, since the run at launch broke my heart. Figure I'm too old to change my ways now, might as well stick to my guns in the remaster.
Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
Never really strayed from Team Dextro, except in personal missions.
Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
2 had too many quality squadmates for me to stick to only Garrus and Tali. Grunt or Mordin are too good to just chill onboard. Although 2 is quite harder than the other 2, and Tali really struggles against Collectors.
In 3, mostly Garrus and Tali, although picking Liara/Javik usually gives some good banter. And obviously, Wrex for Citadel because anything else is plain criminal considering it's your only opportunity to bust heads with him.
As for romances...Garrus' is just too perfect. As for Broshep, it's between Tali and Jack.

Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
Garrus, obviously. Tali actually had to grow on me. She was pretty much a non entity throughout ME1 and I had to play ME2 a couple times to actively start liking her. She was just sort of there.
Mordin and Grunt are also high on the list. Grunt mostly for entertainment value rather than depth.
I liked Wrex but I was always super conflicted about him being in charge of the krogan. He was definitely better than gonads for brains typical krogan and didn't want to fight for no reason, but he also showed 0 desire or inclination to actually check krogan birth rates. This misses the point. The issue with the krogan isn't that they are militaristic and aggressive (so are the turians). It's that they breed like rabbits and make everybody else deal with their overpopulation externality problems when they inevitably run out of resources. This always left me in a weird place where I would totally hang out with Wrex but I was *very* lukewarm about the whole krogan situation which he would construe as betrayal if he knew. Without the existential threat of the Reapers and Eve, I probably would not have cured the genophage. This is the mark of a really well written character though. He wouldn't give you mental fits if there wasn't something there.
(Overall though I have to give Drack first place as official "friend" krogan with no strings attached).
Javik gets "good character" points but I can't say I liked him per se.
I did like Vega too for some reason though he's just a one-note jarhead and not the kind of character I would typically like.
Most of the rest are just sort of varying shades of adequate.

Played all three games on the highest difficulty, Team Dextro worked just fine for that.

For me in ME1, it was Tali and Wrex 98% of the time. Everyone else was a little too fragile to be useful to me, but Wrex is a tank that can take hits for days and Tali's shields are so powerful when upgraded the only real threat to her are acid attacks from Rachni or Thorian Creepers.
ME2, Team Dextro all the way as soon as its available to me, except where loyalty missions mandated otherwise on my main playthroughs.
ME3, same as ME2, except I'll swap out Garrus for Javik every now and then. His biotic moves are too good to just leave him on the ship all the time.

Hey. I _learned_ how to drive the Mako super good, and if I can learn to do it, you can learn to do it, yes its true, you can learn to do it too.
Re: Party - Really only applicable to ME1/2, given I played them multiple times. Think I did every combination in ME1 at one point, mainly for the banter, as Shepard inevitably was the only effective combatant. Then settled on Tali + Liara/Wrex for the last few. ME2, usually ran Team Harem, Tali + Samara + Infiltrator Shepard. Covered all bases, eye-candy. Tried to give Jacob/Miranda/Thane an honest try, but they lacked combat usefulness or interesting things to say.
Re: The Krogan Problem - Its entirely a situation of making a terrible decision, for ethical and practical reasons, that will need to be addressed only if the robo-genocide doesn't win out. Yeah, letting the krogan pop out a thousand kids at a clip without Tuchanka attrition, is going to be a massive problem if they're forced into stone-age tech or something. But the Reaper War could have dragged on for centuries, or millennia, and those numbers would be very useful. And once Shepard unleashes the MacGuffin, well, even with Wrex in charge, _1000 krogan per birth_ is going to require force from the rest of the galaxy to keep in check.

Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
Would be funny if the upcoming new ME game (which presumably is set after the trilogy and in the Milky Way) would have you wander through the Citadel and, like, 75% of the people you meet are Krogan. And that applies to every other location as well.
Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
My gut thinking is that this new game is going to be Mass Effect: Fan Service, as Bioware badly needs a hit without caveats. They'll bring back some asari/krogan characters, lots of callbacks, and generally tamp down on the contemporary commentaries. Nice, clean, if a bit bland, story. That's all they need to do. The issues over there appears to have been a void of leadership as opposed to talent. I hope.
That said, the logical implication of some ME3 choices several centuries into the future sounds like a Gordian knot to handle, thus the traditional solution.

Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
They'll have to decide on a canon ending, if Shepard survived somehow, etc. And, although I presume that there will be some contact with the crew over in Andromeda, it will be set in the Milky Way mainly. At least those are my assumptions. If they manage to introduce some not bland new characters and the story ain't just another Reaper retread, I'll be at least good enough to tune in. Ah, and also no open world bitch quest overload, that would be nice, too. Hell, I'd even take a Reaper retread, if they make it interesting enough. Exploring the fallout of the Reapers would be an interesting story all of in itself.

Calling it again: it's gonna be Mass Effect: the Farce Awakens.
Destruction will be the canon ending, or heavily implied to be, but we'll find out that Shepard disappeared right after the events of the third game anyways, the Normandy crew scattered through the winds, and now decades, if not centuries later, we get a new main character and Liara looking to find out what really happened to the Commander, because it might be the key to find the MacGuffin the plot hinges around. And yes, along the way there's gonna be a crapton of references and breadcrumbs explaining, or trying to, what happened to the rest of the crew, but it's gonna be the safest, most generic tidbits imaginable, so that it can kinda fit with almost everyone's past playthrough.
