That sickness you get is your body getting adjusted. Since you give up, your body resets, and you repeat the cycle. I can almost guarantee you that you will be better after a week of mild exercise, and be able to push harder.
Also not eating shitty food, getting a balanced diet, and eating the right nutrients will stave off or prevent the sickness from happening.
A viral infection isn't "your body getting adjusted".
If my alveoli fucking pop because this virus made me cough too much after a run I am down on lung capacity, even if I get that back I am much better off not running while sick and healing up faster so I can get back to running.
I'm sorry but there is a reason doctors recommend resting when you're ill.
And yeah, infections happen, can't count for everything. Yeah your chances might be higher by having a strengthened immune system but that don't mean jack shit if it's a virus your body has never encountered before and it's mutated to be super strong because it's already been through other people. No amount of "keep pushing" is going to do me any good in either scenario.

None of that was derogatory or incendiary.
This is: Your obsession with being a bitch is bordering obscene. Fix yourself.
Big difference.

Take the insults to Slap Fights, guys.
My Friday is going remarkably well otherwise. Finished the huge interior job I've been on for the last 3 weeks. Client was so damn nice, kept giving us tips. Ended up with a pocketful of cash just for doing my job and being nice to her about it. Hell yeah. Crashed hard when I got back in tho, running a 12 hour sleep deficit for the week does tend to catch up all at once.
Sorry to hear half of you are feeling like shit.

Fuck the Alliance, FOR THE HORDE! If we have to be the bad guys again, so be it. We'll drown them in the blood of their friends and kin, and erect monuments of bone in the ruins of their cities!
But more seriously, I'm cool with some actually fucking war in Warcraft. "Gee guys we need to ally up but not really to stop the Big Bad" was getting old, especially after the cause for the hostility in Legion was a matter of some Horde archers not looking panicked enough during a rout and no one communicating what happened to the Horde during the assault on the Broken Shore.
So make the Horde evil again, or darker anyway. Something new, more vicious. Take some bloody noses even. Makes the story interesting again, but we better get to sock the Alliance in the fucking mouth for once. They've been actively gaining heroes new and old while the Horde's been bled, over and over.

So there's a new line of Transformers model kits ala Gunpla beginning to come out at the end of the summer. And thei're designed by some of the people of TRIGGER Studio that did the robots for Gurrenn Lagarn. I might have to take a look at these, even tho thei're non-transformable.

I gotta go to a christening next month. That's a suit and tie, money envelope, event and dinner with drinks after, sort of event, right?
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Yeah, yeah. Every few years the Horde gets another genocidal leader who wipes out a city or a nation or a people, but Horde players will always whine about Camp Taurajo and evil Jaina and such. And since the game cannot abolish an entire faction, the logical thing to do after the Alliance hands the Horde their asses (as they inevitably do) is not done: Break up the Horde and imprison its leaders as war criminals.
I was sympathetic to Baine Bloodhoof and Vol'jin for a long time, but if I see nowadays that the other faction leaders just go along when Sylvanas commits atrocities, I think they don't deserve any sympathy anymore. Fucking hypocrites.

Playing Yakuza 6 made me realize a weird thing with the Japanese language.
It seems like they dont really use pronouns like "he" or "she" or even "my".
A subtitle can say "This is my house", but the audio is clearly saying something to the effect of "This is Theo's house"

@Magnus: Which Horde? Old Horde? New Horde? Dark Horde? True Horde? Iron Horde?!
The noble savage theme started eroding with the Forsaken in vanilla, and then the Blood Elves in BC. The plot held together, other than covert Forsaken dickery, until Wrath, where Wrathgate and the doublecross in Icecrown put a pin in it. Because Thrall then put fucking Garrosh in charge, who was at least an interesting character, but was clearly a hot-headed, old school orc with bloodlust issues. Could've done some neat things with him, until he went Orc Hitler tho. So, fine, we take him down, ole' Vol'jin steps up. That should've been cool, since trolls are cool, Vol'jin's cool, and he did effectively nothing the entire expansion he was in charge. Then dies to a random Felguard at the beginning of Legion.
And I like Sylvanas, albeit more so before puritans made her cover up. But where is this plot going? Garrosh again, but prettier? I don't need muh faction to be good guys who are always morally just. I picked Horde, I like some blood and grime and darkness in my fantasy. Alliance can be the Lawful Good guys, Horde can be whatever is needed to make a good story. But not Garrosh again, we're running low on Horde NPCs of note at this point. The schizophrenic duality at least appears to be part of the plot, via Saurfang, so maybe this'll work out well.
@Theo: Yeah, that sounds right. I believe you'd either use their name or it would be implied, so pronouns are unnecessary. Though there are many words for "my," with different connotations. Watashi, boku, ore...

I gave Japanese a fair shake, but the structure is hard to process. I still find myself saying Itadakimasu before I eat. Too bad my teacher/girlfriend dumped me.

Some of the few uses of knowing the Japanese language that I can see would be that you'll understand Japanese humor a little better or maybe be able to not need to read subtitles as much. Other than that and being able to communicate with people from Japan, there's little reason to learn it.
Unless you're obsessed with their culture (and/or a weeb), in which case, more power to you. Hell, if I hadn't fallen down the spiral of depression at a young age, I might have become a quadrilingual, despite the fact that I can count the number of times I've been abroad on one hand. Swedish, English, Greek and Spanish. Now I'm only a bilingual, which is borderline plebeian.

in the original Metal Gear Solid Naomi Hunter tells Snake about dr Clark (who made the Cyborg Ninja Gray Fox) who she tells is a man, but thanks to MGS3: Snake Eater dr Clark turns out to be a woman and the reason being for that plothole is that in the Japanese version of the original MGS dr Clark never had a gender attached to her.
That's the first time I learned about gender neutral Japanese words, something that doesn't exist much of in the west.

Fair enough. As a 95% Alliance player, I don't always realize how frustrating it must be for Horde players who are not on board the genocide train. It's just very frustrating to me reading other forums where there are some partisan Horde players who try to obfuscate the current fuckery with old hats like Taurajo.
Can't wait to kick Sylvanas teeth in as the final raid boss of the expansion, though. Been waiting for that for a looooong time. Or maybe she'll be the final boss of the penultimate raid and N'zoth is the final boss. In any case, they better don't pull a Grom Hellscream from WoD with her, that fucker should have been nailed to a tree somewhere in the desert, instead of getting a non-earned "redemption".

You feel a little dehumanized when you get called your last name constantly. Then when someone calls you your first name you feel weird.

Might just be a regional thing, but being addressed by your last name was just like standard for how teachers referred to people while I was in junior high and high school. A lot of my friends called me by a shortened form of my last name. To this day, I am weird about calling people by their first names, even immediate family, preferring various nicknames and "hey yous!"
This doesn't mean my whole life is a lie and I'm secretly the main character in a really boring RPG does it???
Another thing with Japanese (or any East Asian language really) is that speaking it is only like half the work. To really have it be useful you need to learn the characters as well and that's always been what's the most intimidating to me. The idea that I can't speak the language isn't a big deal, but the idea that I am literally *illiterate* in Japan or China is fairly freaky.

I dunno I oddly feel a bit of a weird connection to being called/refered to by my last name. Sort of like "fuck yeah, one of the clan" or something. I can totally see that going the other way though as "Oh, I'm just some other guy in the group"
Mind you I am also 100% fine to be referred to by my screen name. It's a name I can ditch at any time, but if you called out across a room "Hey, Mazder!" I'd immediately know/think you're talking to me. Unless we're in a carpark and you might be shocked to see a Mazda.

Sometimes I don't but that's usually when speaking quickly.
BUT I am British and we have an intrusive "r" in our speech patterns.
here are a couple of vids to give demonstration to it.

Makes sense that people or cultures that are more collectivist in nature/outlook put more emphasis on the last name/family name, and people or cultures that are more individualist in nature/outlook put more emphasis on the first name, generally speaking.
And there's also the points of politeness, professionalism, etiquette and respect to take into account, depending on various situations and contexts, or how well you know the person.

I started becoming a really huge fan of the senpai/kohai usage. There were a few people in school that today I would have considered my senpai. Here's a respectable name to give that older person you look up. And there were people I would have considered my kohai. Here's a respectable name to give to a younger person who looks up to me. I experienced far fewer of the later, but I like a system that assigns people a role such as mentor and junior. That gives everyone a chance to experience both roles.

I got teased a lot because of my last name (it was Greek and rather long) and it always made it awkward when the teachers tried to pronounce it and failed every time. I was first on the list too, because my other name starts with an A. I changed it when I turned eighteen.
Now my name is so generic because I removed the Greek name that I wouldn't even react if someone called me by it. It's the Swedish equivalent of John Smith.

Are you okay sharing your last name with us?
My last name is Ouellette, which is pronounced wha-let. It also looks like omelet, Gillette, toilet and ovulate. Image what a pubescent teen can come up with with material like that. It also didn't help that I lived on a cul de sac and the sign entering my street read 'No Outlet'. Never ceased being teased for that.
As for the pronunciation, I tell people to not even bother. Mr O is fine. When I go to vote and they ask what my name is, I go straight to spelling it. When they ask how it's pronounced I ask them to just give me my ballot. Explaining how it's pronounced just causes more trouble.

Sure. My old last name was Charalambidis. Most people wouldn't even get past the first syllable, so they'd often just pronounce it like "Chalalala" as if they didn't care what my first name is, despite my whole name being called out during the start of every class, which I found more insulting than the mispronunciation.
My teachers would always go "Okay, first there's...Cha-Char-I don't know if I'm pronouncing it right" and I'd immediately answer with a raised hand and "That's me", which also got very tiring.
Then again, I'm just glad that my mom had the foresight to make Kyriakos my middle name instead of my first name as my dad wanted.
So my old full name was Jonathan Kyriakos Thomas Andersson Charalambidis, which couldn't fit the list and was a bitch to sign on...anything, so I shortened it for that reason too.

And I thought my last name was mispronounced and misspelled all the time...

It's the schizophrenia. "We're noble warriors, struggling to survive in a harsh world, constantly at war with everyone and everything, but honorable and proud in our own way! Also we have literal walking corpses who do literal Nazi shit to innocent prisoners." Gotta accept it all, and that Alliance are the moral standard for the setting. They aren't going to be doing anything evil or wrong as an organization. I blame the Blood Elves for the infusion of players who can't accept the Horde for the good and bad, heh.
