Also 40k art really loves the "Literal mountain of infantry" action shots.

I got Prime, which has been a massive cost saver for how often I order shit too. But orders outside of Amazon do seem oddly pricey. The hardcopy limited run of 1/2 Genie Hero was pricey to ship, the Vetra litho, the Fray Bentos meat pie things I'm gonna try, the limited run Shantae model kit.

Now that I think about it, maybe I'm the problem.

Sort of. It all ends with Illidian and the partially reborn good titans sealing Sargeras into some titan ghost trap thing along with them "forever." At which point the crusader is over, as the Legion would be unable to replenish their losses anymore and lack Big Dick S to actually lead them. But the Void Lords are the true-true bad guys now, and they scared Sarg shitless, hence his fall and evilness to stop them, plus Illidian gets puffed up super hard in this expansion, so they're not done with the story yet.

TLDR: The player character is canonically super strong, but not nearly strong enough to hang with Sargeras. He's put on ice for the moment, less demons in the future.

Well, its care from his perspective. Mortal minds just have a hard time understanding and appreciating his boundless compassion. But he loves us all the same. Papa Nurgle has entropic hugs for all life forms!

To enact his ultimate designs though, he'd have to win the Great Game the Ruinous Powers play in the Warp, eliminating the other gods and letting the Warp completely engulf the materium. Which is something Tzeentch would never allow. Tzeentch is the single biggest dick in the setting, but he's smart enough to realize that if Chaos prevailed in totality, they'd destroy their food supply and starve. He'd never allow Chaos to crush all before it because it would doom themselves in the long run. Plus the Great Game is impossible to win, because the moment one Chaos God starts gaining true supremacy, the other 3 temporarily team up and knock that guy back down. Perpetual stalemate. Eternal impasse.

Unlocking "Chozo Memories" is the new scanning for Chozo Lore, it seems like. And that they “may reveal a surprising secret” is interesting. We already know the Chozo studied the planet and discovered the X parasite resulting in them creating the Metroids to counteract them, so I'm curious to see what else the Chozo were up to. (I do hope its not something stupid, Sakamoto…)

Why do that when they have Hat Simulator Team Fortress 2 and CS:GO's box system to give them free money these days? Also, given the fact that they clearly don't give a fuck about patching things (I've seen bugs that have been in some of their games ever since they came out), I'm not that surprised that they've decided to scale down their game development teams.

On a less sour note, XCOM 2 is free to play during this weekend. Probably because War of the Chosen comes out this Tuesday, which I'm pumped for.

That was the time things were still in the maybe stages.

Man, listening to Total Biscuit's podcast and those guys talking about all those crazy indie developer games and the constant failures of AAA games that publishers and developers can recover from again and again because people are stupid and buying gutted DLC packs if they have the right name stamped on them makes me sad.

It's like Nintendo is the only one out there that can deliver proper games without the sleaze because they're so hilariously out of touch to the point where it's beneficial.

Pretty much. Think the last "mainstream game" I bought was Mortal Kombat X, and I can't even run it on my current PC. It's not even a matter of being hipster-y... there's just so much more interesting stuff around that I don't care of things like the next Assassin's Creed, or the unmptheen FpS that lasts 2 hours and has an obnoxious multiplayer.

You're also quite right about Nintendo, tho it makes me fear what they might do if they do get on par with the program and start using western's "AAA games" politics...

Yeah, only through Old Gods or huge efforts that manifest a tiny sliver of their power that immediately start bleeding off all their power, like the void lord that gets his ass beat in Outland. There's lots of hinting at what's to come, presumably as they are now the big threat, so Soon.

He's a hero. You do some quest chain in Legion to resurrect him somehow, then he basically takes control of all the good guys and starts wrecking Legion shit, but he's still sorta an anti-hero. But there's this fawning sequence where a literal naaru talks about how great and powerful and smart Illidian is via flashbacks of his life, and it's real weird.

Half Life was a ground breaking game that set the precedent for many games after, much like DOOM for FPS games in general.

Half Life 2 Episode 3 is a universally wanted game. I have yet to meet anyone, aside from you, who didn't want it made, and Valve pretty much shit on its fans.
