This guy is just Steve Irwin reborn almost.
Like it's great to see a passion and legacy passed down through a generation like this and he is just like his father.
I swear all he needs is a "Crikey" and waiting a few years for his own show!
I'd watch his show!

So I had a really weird dream last night. I was part of a mercenary group. We snuck into a war-torn country, infiltrated the camp of a local warlord Solid Snake style… and stole his chicken wings. Didn’t rescue any prisoners, didn’t kill or capture anyone; we just stole the man’s dinner. Which happened to be chicken wings. Then I woke up.
What are you trying to tell me, brain?

Now that's just neat. Truth be told, I'd forgotten he had a son. If he gets a show in a few years I'd watch it. The Crocodile Hunter reborn.

Bah. I'll take Skullgirls over Street Fighter every day, and not just for the fanservice.

My campus has had a Nintendo Switch in one of the offices since January. I don't know how they got it so early, but the joke is that even though we have one plugged in and all, there are no games for it yet.
Anyway, the more I see of Horizon Zero Dawn, the less I want it. Everything about it looks unappealing once you get past the surface.

Okay, so today I start using myfitnesspal to track my calorie intake.
I am thinking about using it with no intention on reduction for about a eek to track which days I am best on without thinking about it, and to track my habits a little better in order to alter them.
Either way, I know my weight (I was right to guesstimate around 350 as I am in that area) and now I know what I need to do in order to lose it.
This is all without exercise to supplement it BTW.
I'll be adding that in later.
I feel. well good that I am starting the journey, but I KNOW I am going to feel annoyed for about 6 months as I am changing my lifestyle that I am comfortable in and making it full of effort. I know I am gonna be a whiny bitch about it.

I'm in the same boat. It gives me Tomb Raider vibes and I thought that game was just boring to play.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Today I returned a headset I bought yesterday because the mic sucked (I reckon it was because of some shitty sound card adapter that followed with) and I was fairly surprised when I was able to return it even though I had torn open the plastic bags and used the headset. They're usually a lot more picky about that stuff.
When I got home, I learned that one of my childhood friends had committed suicide. Sure, when I last saw him, we weren't really close friends and more classmates than anything, but we didn't leave on bad terms all those years ago before I started college. I don't really know how to react to these kind of things. It's sad when someone dies, sure, but my reaction is for the most part a "huh" and then I continue on with what I was doing. It doesn't really faze me for some reason. Maybe it's because I I've had people around me die so often (shit, I know three people that I worked with at my previous job who all died of cancer) that I've grown used to it. Probably not the right or appropriate words, but something along those lines, I guess. Or maybe it's because I hadn't seen the guy in more than a decade.

I was playing Paper Mario when i got the news my father died.
I didnt know what to do or how to react. I didnt get the maelstrom of emotions i was always expecting.
In the end i said a prayer, thanked my father, and keep playing.
Death is so nonnegotiable that its hard to really know what to do or how you should react.

Edit: I removed what I posted, since in my opinion it was distasteful (no pun intended) to what the previous posts were about. No one close to me has died yet, except my grand parents and parents of friends and friends of friends. I know it's something that's always on my mind, don't know what I will think or do when it happens.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
The death of my last childhood cat, when I was 18, wrecked me emotionally. Full on crying jags, in public at the vet's no less. Then when the cat I got that year was confirmed dead, because my mother let him wander freely in the yard back in the south even after other cats had gone missing and a coyote was spotted in the area, I didn't even flinch. When my cousin died to a drug overdose, I felt sadness off and on, but it was nothing harsh. Meanwhile every now and again for no reason at all, I get blue spells for days that make everything misery. If I found out my very best friends growing up had died, I'd probably feel very little. But if some people I've never met in person died, it could just about resign me to nihilism.
Shit's weird, man. If you get off easy after a loss, I'd be thankful. But that's my exhausted ramblings.

My uncle in the US died recently, (February 3rd 2017) and I honestly didn't feel much. I mean he's my aunt's husband, my cousin's father and my uncle, I should feel something, right?
I mean I felt empathy and sympathy for my aunt, that's obvious. I felt her pain and saw it on her face when we talked over skype, that was obvious.
But I din't take the news as hard as I thought I would, or should. But in a way it kind of makes sense. We were never really terribly close and he wasn't a part of my daily life, but he was still there.
I think the only thing I truly feel bad about was the fact I regretted I had never met him in person. I'd met my cousin in person when he was over here doing part of his MP training for the Airforce, and I speak with my other cousin regularly on skype and I know all about he life, as much as I did about my aunt. But my uncle was always quiet.
I of course feel slightly guilty and I just know I'll probably forget a lot faster than they will, and knowing me, when I do get out there to visit them I'm going to do something stupid, like ask where he is or something and that'll bring them more pain that isn't needed.
So, yeah, news of death affects people weirdly, and that was my first encounter with it in sorta close proximity.

"The official Japanese website for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was updated today with profiles of some of the characters that appear in the game. Other than Link and Zelda and the generic Bokoblin and Guardian enemies, there are also profiles for three of the characters that were first seen in the latest trailer shown at the Switch reveal last month. We already got some info on them in Famitsu a couple of weeks ago and their profiles on the website don’t really reveal anything new, but we do get some nice high-resolution artwork of them, plus their official English names (or at the very least, the official romanization of their Japanese names). The Goron warrior is known as Daruk, the Rito archer is called Revali and the Zora girl is known as Mipha."

I think I have asked this question before, but it would seem like ad block plus is losing its touch.
Does anyone know of a better ad blocker for firefox?

Have you tried uBlock origin?
I have it on both chrome and firefox, seems to do pretty well.
Mind you I have Ublock Origin, AdBlock, AdBlock Plus and AdBlock Pro running in tandem, in case one of them misses something the other would catch it.

Ublock was the one I was looking at.
Doesnt running all those at once cause some slowdown?
Also does that stop that annoying ass thing websites are learning how to do where they can block you from looking at their content if you have an adblocker running?

Today's my third attempt at passing my Smog check so I can get my car registered. Just the perfect storm of bad timing. I registered my car earlier this month. The day I put it in the shop to get the clutch fixed my registration comes back, I need a smog check, I need my stickers before this month is over. Wait over a week to get my car back, then I drive to the smog check place and it fails. Ends up if your battery was disconnected it wipes the computer and you have to do all sorts of driving things to get the info back to pass. Well I found this out before I was away from my vehicle for three days. So I get back home from my trip, go driving with my air con on, defrost on, rear defrost, radio on for about half an hour. Failed again. Ends up you need to drive at about 40-50 MPH, not over, no under. So today is my third attempt, woke up early idled my car for 20 minutes and took the back roads to work. Found out my clutch is acting up and I have to bring it back to the shop. Also there's a gigantic phillips head screw in my right front tire.

On the slowdown thing, yeah probably but it's not impacted me any, though it might in the future. I'm not recommending all the programs at once, that's just my net.
And as tot he latter annoyance I can not say as I haven't noticed it, but I am not one that goes to too many sites that would require it.
Sites are just becoming more aware of it and it's a constant battle.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Ahh adblock, unfortunately some ads are just unblockable at the moment. To get the most out of your adblockers make sure uncheck 'allow some non-intrusive advertising'. I don't recommend running more than two at a time, and even then it can cause some things to lag.
As far as I know there is no magical adblocker out there, however ads that run on streams and videos can sometimes be bypassed by not using HTML5 players.

NASA announced the discovery of a star-system with 7 earth-like planets, 3 of which are in the Habitable Zone:

A system with 3 "Earths", about 20 light-years from us. So far the best candidate for alien life in our vicinity.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
This may be an astronomy 101 question, but how is the amount of light reaching us from these far distant sources enough to derive these specific impressions of what's out there? I remember in some course or another being told that if you magically teleported 2020 light years away from Earth, and turned a telescope on us of sufficient power, you could see Jesus walking around, and then 65,000,000 years and dinosaurs. But I wondered how that worked, even in the great void, how you wouldn't lose suffer so much information loss that you'd be unable to get a clear picture.

The thing is they are working with more than visible light. Heat and Radiation is a part too. The information that comes into a telescope is more then just the shapes we see, you can tell elemental/gaseous properties with light waves and spectrum. Like how they can tell a rocky planet from a gaseous one, or what the surface is made of. The size of a star/planet, it's age and power output too. How the star light behind it bends to judge mass and such. It's how we could tell what the planets in our own system were made of before we could visit them or begin to count the satellites. Even today we use the same techniques, which is what I hear people complain most about science photos. They use Red/Blue/Green to take pictures so that they can get elemental properties from the photos then combine those to get approximate color photos of the planets to show the public and photographers are always saying they could take better pictures with their smartphones then some expensive once scientist use, except a good publicity photo doesn't collect science information. Plus with infra red we can see info we couldn't with massive bodies in the way, like dust clouds. So there is actually a lot of information coming in, just now we have the technology to focus them for certain studies.

Tamper Monkey will let you get around *some* of that. It lets me look at Pinterest without their stupid scrolling "join to see more" grey wall of passive aggression and it has successfully gotten around the block on some news sites.

Dunno what the laws are where you are but here emissions tests are done at a county level and not the state level. I had this recurring issue where my check engine light kept coming on for unknown, mystery reasons and several auto shops were bumfuzzled as to what was causing it. They could turn it off but it would just come right back on within a few weeks. And a check engine light means you *always* fail your smog check here. I ended up having to get inspection done in some pissant town well-removed from urban counties because they just do general safety inspection and not a smog check there. I did eventually find a place the fixed it (only to be replaced by some seeming unending issue with my belt that nobody seems to be able to figure out).
