On second thought, it might just be heavily armored Salarian.

So ESA are letting some civvies to Astronaut stuff as a marketing thing for ME:A.
Col, even if half the stuff they'd be doing would be outdated by ME standards. :D

This was interesting. 6 Europeans got picked to do space training with the ESA and the Andromeda Initiative.

I do enjoy a good jetpack.

That Asari Huntress' armor is an improvement. And she's carrying a sword.

"Some of the Initiative apparently 'broke off and formed factions'"

This is something I find to be very, very, VERY stupid. Like, aggravatingly stupid.

The fuck are those kind of people doing on the Arks to begin with? If their motivations are clashing with their leaders' believes and directions that hard, then they shouldn't have had the chance to board the damn ship from the start.

Where you'd get glued to cover when trying to run away in a panic? Yeah.

I'm having Nam flashbacks where I'd get stuck to every nearest cover instead of running away from the Banshee.

Hmm I never had much of a problem with the cover system. Definitely after learning how to slide over things.

It fucking better.
The quest in DA:I were so pointless and boring. Even if I'm doing quest for followers that I really like. Most of them were very mindless go fetch/kill quest.

The Initiative apparently has a truly abysmal selection and vetting process.

Or maybe they broke off for a good reason. Like if the Initative was lying the whole time and has some sinister, machiavellian plans afoot that threatens everyone not in the upper echelons of power and authority on the Nexus.

I wonder if Jien Garson will go full Andrew Ryan in an attempt to bring her Initiative back under control.

Jien Garson: There is indeed a season for all things and now that I see you flesh-to-flesh and blood-to-blood I know I cannot raise my hand against you, Ryder. But know this, you are my greatest disappointment. Does your father hear me? Alec! You can kill me, but you will never have my Initiative. My strength is not in steel and fire, that is what the parasites will never understand. A season for all things! A time to live and a time to die, a time to build... and a time to destroy!

I'd have to go through it frame by frame, but I'm fairly sure one of the latest trailers showed two instances of creaing your own shielding. One was a sort of deployable chest-high-wall, and the other was tech-based character pushing a shield in front of them as if it were a medieval shield to prevent shots.

Given the dev statements about the game "not being a corridor shooter" and the open-world nature of it, I suspect your sentiment is correct and that there will be a number of tank/shield based abilities in the game.

Hopefully nu-Bioware will at the very least take notes from Ghost Recon: Wildlands' cover system if they're going down the road of not having a dedicated button for entering cover. Can't really understand why they're basically dumping the system, since imo they did cover-based shooting better than Gears of War and I very much doubt ME:A will be the new Vanquish.

You know, considering Vetra's armor is supposed to be kind of defining for her, given her favored power is based around it and it's supposed to be something she's proudly customized...

It looks painfully generic and lame.

Should of gone like, Clone Commando with it or something. Or at least Boba Fett, if she's supposed to be an underworld type.

Also, there's already an awful lot of blue colors. Mix in some red or orange.

It's not bad, but its colors don't make much sense, nor help highlight its details. Either make it properly mimetic, if you're going for a realistic approach, or use some more vivid colors otherwise. As it is it's just stuck halfway between the two, and it's just more grey, silver and blue.

I like it too, but it has a tad too familiar feeling. Like there's next to nothing new about it. Much like what Rip said, it should have been a tad more personalized for someone who's been living in the gritty underground parts of every planet she's been on. Kind of like Zaeed.

Especially since the team also has PeeBee in, who's another "street-wise" character. And she sure as hell doesn't wear a military grade outfit with a more standardized look.

Her outfit confuses me. She wears what looks like a rather heavily padded jacket, but it's unbuttoned at the midriff. Like...are you cold or are you not?

I question how "streetwise" she really is. Pelesaria seems to have that covered.

Im wondering if that's Bioware marketing peak for "shes good at being a soldier".

Going by everything they've shown up there, it seems she's less of a soldier and more like a smuggler, or some kind of broker.

Peebee better have an option to wear armor or she can stay on the ship in the corner looking at a wall.

Maybe she worked for the blue suns at one point and decided that she liked their armor design and colors.

Pretty cool but I was looking around on best buy and learned ME:A comes with a sexy ass looking steelbook When you pre-order. I don't know how I never knew about this as I really wanted one. Looks better than the official CE case that comes with the dumb RC car bundle. It also matches previous cases from ME2&3.

That being said, it convinced me to pre-order.
I'll go sit at table of looked down upon now.

I don't know if I want to play it early, at least not on the 16th when early access begins. I don't know if I'm eager to scream at bugs and glitches and pace the room waiting for updates to load because I've only ever played games well after they were completely finished.

There is something to holding a game in your hands though.
