Basically. And the immediate threat isn't from the ISPs, even though they're also scum. I find it sadly comical how, say, reddit, openly advocates for people to rally and call their senators to fight for NN...while actively purging the wrong sort. All data on the internet should be equal, unless its in our yard!

Unrelated, but know what sucks? Feeling a panic attack coming for 2 days, waiting and waiting, and then having a minor allergic reaction to God knows what to set it off. Least it's over with, but man, irrationality sucks.

Completed Persona 5 again. Strangely, the second playthrough took longer then the first.

That is an exceptional game. Ill say again, anyone with a PS4, (or PS3) seriously has to give it a try. It takes a bit of getting used to, but its one of the most perfect game formulas I have ever played.

So some questions I have. When fighting how are you to tell what an enemy is weak to? Is there only one marker per enemy or can you target different spots? What is the block button good for?

This is my first time playing this type of fighting game. It's turn based, right?

edit: Also is there a way to check my phone, or does it only come up in the story line? Got a tutorial saying I can only check last 50 messages.

Well, generally you have to figure that out by trial and error, but once you unlock Makoto, it starts recording that, so you can get a reminder by pressing L1. It will also record what each enemy is weak and strong to once you capture them. I'm not sure if you have gotten there yet, but there is a capture mechanic in the game that, admittedly, I am extremely bad at.

For most enemies there is only one marker, but you will fight some boss enemies that have more then one. It will be abundantly clear when that's the case though.

Blocking is going to be useful during bosses and mini bosses when they make a big show of powering up for the next attack. Generally someone on the team will say "OH MY GOD THE NEXT ATTACK IS GOING TO BE SUPER STRONG!" Another example is when a boss or mini boss "glares at *character*". That means they are about to be attacked.

You've never played a turn based game before? Yes, its turn based with a few twists. Generally, everyone gets a turn in order who who's speed stat is the fastest. If you ambush an enemy, which you should ALWAYS do, you all get to do an attack before they get to regardless of your speed. If you hit an enemy with something they are weak against, or get a critical hit, you get to take another turn.

Thats when shit gets super interesting, as eventually you can set up "baton passes", which let you give that turn to another character, which powers them up. If that character then downs an enemy and gets ANOTHER turn, THEY can baton pass, and make the next character even more powerful. Ideally most non-boss fights you want to end before they ever get a chance to attack.

Like I said, there's A LOT going on in this game mechanically, and it takes some getting used to. But once you start understanding it, youll find that it flows very well. especially once you start getting extra skills from confidants. (Which I would happily go over, but this explanation is already getting quite long, and I dont want to overload you with information.)

As far as checking your phone, just press the square button. it has a record of your previous 50 texts.

I did just that this morning. If an enemy is 'down' then you can do a bunch of stuff. I got a pixie out of it. Forgot to do it when a unicorn/pegasus went down and I quickly team killed them. There's so much happening, but I think I'll focus on negotiating items from enemy's right now.

Time only proceeds when you make an action, correct? If I stand on a street corner for a while would the time move from morning to afternoon?

So far it's tons of fun.

I don't know if the story folds out the same way for everyone, but right now I'm in the castle with Sakamoto and the cat and Ann just got captured. I think she's the next fighter to join my group. I'm only on my first Thursday or Friday. I'm really liking Sakamoto, in a Garrus bro-relationship kind of way.

Well getting items and money from enemies is good, but dont forget that you wont get a lot of experience points out of that. If you do nothing but ask the enemy for items to end a fight early, you will end up woefully under-powered. Its a trade off of sorts.

And yes, time will never proceed unless you do an action (and some actions dont count like shopping or getting your fortune told, which ends up being super important). Early on, its worth saving before a lot of actions just to get used to what you can and cant do without losing time. Also dont forget to study. You ARE a student after all.

Also sometimes you will lose days just based on plot, so keep that in mind. Its why its best to do palaces as soon as possible. Mementos is also important, but you can save that until you have 3 or more targets.

I dont really hate any character, but Riuji is definitely my least favorite. Hes a bit of an idiot.

I'm the same age as William (though I hold the name better) and grew up hearing everyone around me talk about how handsome he is. And his brother. Americans fell even more in love with them after their mother died. And everyone in America (not much me, I'm the odd one out) loves their mother. PLUS the brides they pick are young and very pretty. So handsome young royals marrying pretty young ladies is quite the story to follow. If W and H looked like me and married woman who...well looked like me, then not that many would be into it. It won't happen again for another 20 or so years.

Oh yeah the whole cast is great. Even Ann, who is the super girly girl is a great character.

FYI, there are romance options,so if that interests you, you may want to look up some of them (or just ask me. I can probably do it without spoilers.) because while you can actually engage in a romance with several women, it backfires pretty hard, and you would have to be a complete asshole to do so.
