It needs a fast travel.
It NEEDS a FAST TRAVEL.
Wandering to see the world is very charming for the first 40 or so hours but eventually, like with every open world game ever fucking made, you just want to get from point A to point B.
When I put the game in cinematic mode and watch YouTube while I wait to get to my destination in real time, your "immersive world" has failed.

It has fast travel, just only to the cities via trains and stagecoaches and with the right upgrades to the camp you can get a fast travel 1 way.
So it has fast travel, it's not very good in my opinion.

It has fast travel points, and there is indeed a camp upgrade that lets you fast travel from your bunk. Wish granted.

No, i dont think you two understand.
I doesn't need designated spots you can travel to in order to use a fast travel system that then involves more traveling.
IT NEEDS A FAST TRAVEL SYSTEM.
A real one, not some pretentious in universe bullshit.

It is a fast travel system, just not one people are "use" to (doesn't mean it's good) and you can make your horse ride for you a good portion of the way, it kinda reminds me of GTA5 the traveling worked.
the fast travel system you want is the ones we have seen in Fallout 3-4, new vegas, Skyrim, the original Red Dead Redemption, Witcher 3, etc.

Never underestimate the capability of stupid and lazy people with phones.
Also, that fast travel system I hear about sounds like ass. While I can admit that just popping into existence at any town whenever you feel like it is a bit cheap and you should go to a special place to do it, having it limited to a certain number per day is just dumb.

Realism needs to also be fun.
There are missions that are only available for one or two in games hours (five minutes tops) a day. You'll try to traverse the entire map to get there, only to miss your shot and then have to set up camp.
The game has some seriously good stuff in it, but heir attempts at realism are getting in the way of the fun to be had.

Speaking of fast travel systems, when are you going to get off your ass and make Dragon's Dogma 2, Capcom?!
Of the many little details in that game that I love, the fact that you make your own damn fast travel system really made the exploration of the open world that much more satisfying.

They know what they are doing. They know they are running a game that's part waifu simulator. They recently did a rework to Torb which made him have an alt that spits lava on the floor which does fire damage. Almost everyone sounds like they are having a climax when on fire. Besides, not like anyone is complaining about the lack of males. If anything, it' just a bunch of weirdos complaining about how there are almost as many white characters as others of different ethnicity

Does anyone know how much morality actually effects the story in Red Dead Redemption 2?
Because I'm on the "good" path, and I'm getting scenes that seem like they wouldn't make any sense at all as anything other then a "good" play through.

Azint wrote:It's incredible in so many ways; the sheer attention to detail is mind-boggling. This is the best open world game I've played since The Witcher 3, and part of the reason is because of the world itself. The narrative does a fantastic job of actually using the sandbox they give you instead of just being a single-player story that happens to take place in an open world. Some people may tell you that the world is shallow and empty, and that is a load of bullshit, because even if you focus entirely on the story and never stray to side-quests or simple exploration, you still get an incredible tour of this setting.
...
I absolutely recommend that people play it, and that they be patient with it. It may not be your cup of tea, and that's fair, but I still believe the game deserves praise for how much it pushes technology and the open-world format we've grown jaded to. I upgraded from the dusty ol' Xbox One to the sporty new Xbone X for this game specifically, and I do not regret it for a moment. RDR2 will ride your console hard.
That is certainly a thorough review. Now I can only hope they port it to PC sooner rather than later.
I did greatly enjoy the first, played it through 2 or 3 times, and the greater part of my enjoyment was being in the world more so than any one mission or action sequence. That first visit to Mexico was romantic. Though the plot with the corrupt leader, his busted up villa, that was grande. Grand.
So here's hoping I am able to play it!
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
It's especially tragic, considering how likable so many of the gang members are. A lot of people have wished that the story would go onto a different path, but it can only end in dust and tears.
Somewhat. A lot of story missions will make you do honorable and dishonorable things, but the story more or less stays the same. You get different interactions and a reputation depending on whether you play good, bad, or ugly. Apparently certain sidequests are exclusive to one extreme or another.
The only major thing affected by your morality is a certain point late in the story. The outcome, on paper, is the same regardless, but you get a very different scene on how you get there. It's not really a role-playing game in that sense, though. No more than the previous one, or GTA ever was at any rate.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Finished the orc, varnished him and the spooker, then got a base coat on the knight. The knight was much harder to cleanly base coat than you'd think looking at him. Though the shield isn't in frame, which took some doing. Still, it's fun to see the sequence of progress from base to finish on the 'ard git.

In other news... apparently Diablo4 IS in the works, but its announcement was pulled from Blizzcon last minute, to give more space to the shitty appgame. Tho hallegedly it's because "the devs didn't feel comfortable to show the game just yet".

”Rumor: Blizzard was going to announce Diablo 4 at BlizzCon but cancelled at the last minute”
“The announcement of Diablo Immortal at BlizzCon went about as badly as it could have. The reveal of a mobile game rather than a full-on Diablo 4 led to a "huge backlash" at what is traditionally a two-day celebration of all things Blizzard. According to a Kotaku report, however, the reaction to Diablo Immortal's announcement could've been very different, as the site says that Blizzard planned to confirm Diablo 4 is in development but bailed on the reveal before last Friday. Two sources familiar with the situation told the site that the original plan had been to announce Diablo Immortal, and then end with a video in which co-founder Allen Adham would confirm that Diablo 4 is in the works, but not yet ready to show. The move sounds like it would have been very similar to Bethesda's Elder Scrolls 6 announcement at E3, an entirely insubstantial statement of the obvious that nonetheless had fans in a much happier frenzy. But for reasons unknown, the plan changed a couple of weeks prior to BlizzCon, and the Diablo 4 reveal was scrapped. One of Kotaku's sources said that Blizzard decided it wasn't ready to commit to the announcement because development is still in a state of flux, and the game may continue to change as it progresses. That in itself doesn't really explain why Blizzard would decide to pull the plug on the reveal, though. It's not as though Diablo needs to be explained at this point—like The Elder Scrolls games, each new iteration is changed but the core experience remains essentially the same. That's how Bethesda was able to draw roaring applause by simply splashing four words onto a big screen at E3, and Blizzard could easily have done the same thing: Tell the audience, "One more thing," smash a Diablo 4 logo on the screen, "Thank you! Goodnight!"”
“DIABLO 2 PRODUCER: 'BLIZZARD DOESN'T UNDERSTAND GAMERS ANYMORE' Mark Kern says the Diablo: Immortal reveal was "a huge bait-n-switch feeling moment”."

"A while back, we promised you that more information about the epic conclusion to the Horus Heresy series would be coming at the Weekender… and boy, was that true! The headline news is that the Siege of Terra will be an eight-book series, launching globally in hardback in May 2019 with John French’s The Solar War. Want to know more about The Solar War and the Siege of Terra? Check out this video interview with John French where he talks about what went into planning this eight-book extravaganza and more besides:"

"Don’t want to wait six months to start reading about the final battle? You’re in luck, as in March, you’ll be able to pick up The Solar War in a limited edition A5 hardback. Details of what this limited edition looks like will come later… but for now, you can prepare yourselves to read the start of the Siege of Terra in just four months. Of course, the Siege of Terra is the final act of a series that’s spanned more than 50 books – and the final instalment in the buildup to that great battle is on the way. It’s called The Buried Dagger, it’s by James Swallow, and it’s out soon. Also on its way is the hardback edition of Guy Haley’s Corax: Lord of Shadows, from the Primarchs series."

"At Black Library Live in June, the team unveiled a brand-new imprint coming from Black Library in 2019: Warhammer Horror. Today, they confirmed the opening line-up for this new range, consisting of three new titles, and reprints of four classic novels – with a new twist. The three new releases each take a familiar horror trope and weave it into the fantastical settings of the Warhammer universes. Maledictions is a short story anthology, featuring dark and sinister tales from a host of established horror writers, including Cassandra Khaw, Alec Worley and Lora Gray, alongside well known Black Library authors, such as Graham McNeill and David Annandale. With eleven stories from the 41st Millennium and the Mortal Realms, this is a must-read for all fans of the spooky and supernatural."

"Alec Worley has also authored an audio drama – Perdition’s Flame – which tells a chilling Warhammer 40,000 tale of a disgraced Vostroyan trooper seeking redemption."

"The last of the three launch titles coming in March 2019 is The Wicked and the Damned, a Warhammer 40,000 portmanteau built of three horror novellas themed around a trio of battered survivors on a cemetery world, each telling their tale of how they came to be there. The three instalments are written by Josh Reynolds, David Annandale and Phil Kelly."

"Coming in the months after the launch are the four classic Warhammer Chronicles titles starring the vampire Genevieve. Fans of a certain vintage may remember these books – Drachenfels, Beasts in Velvet, Genevieve Undead and Silver Nails – which hail from an early time of the world-that-was and give a very different view of the Old World than stories that came later. Each of these was written by veteran horror writer and journalist Kim Newman, under the pseudonym Jack Yeovil, and for the first time ever, these new editions will feature Kim’s real name – and each will have an introduction by the author, along with astonishing new cover art."

"After the successful launch of Realmslayer last month, it’s time for Warhammer 40,000 to receive a similar audio boxed set – and it’s coming in the form of Our Martyred Lady. Written by Gav Thorpe, this tells a four-part tale of Saint Celestine and Inquisitor Greyfax as they work together to try and prevent a holy war within the Ecclesiarchy that could disrupt the balance of power in the Dark Imperium. The cast for Our Martyred Lady is headlined by a famous face – none other than comedian, actor, writer and (obviously) voice artist Catherine Tate, perhaps best known worldwide for her role as Donna Noble in television’s Doctor Who."

"The Celebration will also see the launch of Honourbound, the debut novel by Rachel Harrison, starring Commissar Severina Raine, and there will also be a free short story anthology available in stores across the weekend. Roll on February!"

"After the successful launch of Inferno! Volume 1, the first in a new series of short story anthologies featuring tales from new and established authors, we’re delighted to tell you that the second volume is on the way! It features tales by Guy Haley, C L Werner, Steve Lyons, Peter Fehervari, Jaine Fenn, J C Stearns and Miles A Drake, alongside Black Library debuts from Thomas Parrott, Robert Charles and Jamie Crisalli. Alongside Inferno! Volume 2 will be coming another five Print on Demand editions of classic Inferno! Issues from the late 1990s – covering issues 6 to 10, these will be available for a month and are a chance to own a little piece of Black Library history."

"Tempting new Warhammer 40,000 titles include a return to the Deathwatch for Steve Parker with Shadowbreaker, and an intriguing-looking new tome by Peter Fehervari called Requiem Infernal. Joining them are Andy Clark’s Celestine: The Living Saint, exploring the trials Saint Celestine undergoes when she dies and returns to life, and Cadian Honour by Justin D Hill, continuing the story of the survivors of the shattered fortress world."

@Wall of Warhammer: Geez. With the amount of fiction they're putting out, you'd think they cut the prices on their actual products a bit, eh? And 50 fucking novels to get to the Siege of Terra.
Now when they do the Unification War series, it'll be 100 before we get to Mount Arrat, but think of the Thunder Warrior models!

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Its funny how game developers have a bad case of "if it looks cool, it much be incredible" syndrome when it comes to historical weapons.
An example of this is the New Haven Volcanic Pistol in Red Dead Redemption 2.

In reality it was an extremely impressive gun on paper, (an 8 shot repeating pistol using self contained 'rocketball' ammunition) but ultimately due to the way the rocketball worked, it was an incredibly under-powered projectile. There are anecdotal stories of a man unable to successfully kill himself with one of the smaller models, as the bullet couldn't penetrate his skull.
In game, it may as well be a Desert Eagle. It is easily the beast weapon in the game, has the best range of pistols, has an high fire rate, and does more damage then any other sidearm. All of this in 1899 from a failed gun that was manufactured before the Civil War.

It was the same in the first game. At least until you got to the semi-auto pistols. Then it was spam for days.

Well, there is some logic to it. The Mauser didnt use a very high caliber bullet, especially compared to what you could put in a revolver.
Its more that they made some odd picks for the time period. The Volcanic is a really cool looking gun, but it really doesn't make any sense for the time, and was a complete failure.

Bowser Jr. Whose was a bitch and a half to find. I payed 28 dollars for an unopened box. Normally those go for around 70.
I open all my amiibo anyway, as I have no intention to ever sell them, but even still.
I have the new ones preordered too, so if you count those, its Piranha Plant, Ice Climbers, and King K. Rool.

Yeah, I open all my figures too. I'm not the kind of person who "invests" into action figures and keep them sealed in their boxes religiously. Tho I keep the package for some of the more high-rank stuff, just in case I want to take them off the shelf for some time and I need a safe place to put them.

Statues, I keep on shelves, never in box.
Action figures...they're my adult toys so I'mma play with them.
I am stiiiiiill really tempted to get a full set of Dinobots some day. If they can bring out a decent Grimlock in a set that isn't all dumpy-tailed or costs over £100 for the figure alone before shipping or HMRC taxes.

Truth.
I'm constantly thinking about how I need to redo the furniture in my room to get to the point where everything can be displayed easily.

Don't know your house layout, so this is just throwing away an idea... maybe a wall mounted display?

You're kind of asking for a miracle. There's one or two good third-party Grimlock figures that pull that off, but thei're pricy. And there's been a full set of Dinobots in the Power of the Primes toyline that is relatively cheap, and can even combine, but Grimlock's dino-mode suffers tremendously because of that, and they are all based on retro dinosaurs designs. The Bayformers Dinobots are decent figures but... yeah... Bayformers...
