the guy was an ass, but even I don't believe the whole Udina betraying the Council to Cerberus. Made no sense back then and it still don't.
A lot of things about that whole mission and plot point make no sense.
And yes, I agree with you. Udina was always an asshole, but I never pegged him as teaming up with TIM. Actually, that talk Shep has with him when you first go to the Citadel after Mars really allowed me to relate with him for the first time in the series. Udina is really devastated over Earth getting invaded; he comes across as really concerned about all of humanity not just his political friends, he's being crushed by the enormity of what's happened, but he's doing all he can to buy Hackett more time. I was thinking "You know, you and I will never be friends, we don't see eye-to-eye on a lot of things, and I haven't forgiven you for much of your BS in the past, but right now, we can be be genuine allies and you can count on my help and support as we fight the Reapers together in our own ways." And then he goes crazy and tries to assassinate the rest of the Council and hand over the Citadel to Cerberus. How did TIM convince him that handing the Citadel over to him was going to improve mankind's chances? And then EDI later implies he may have been indoctrinated. Like, WTF? When and how did that happen?
