OH IF ONLY SOMEONE HERE WOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT
Oh if only someone would learn not to over react and just learn to walk away.

There goes you not paying attention and keeping your gob shut.
Again.
Listen you cloth-ears, you're both as bad as each other, you're both equally to blame and you both equally share in the responsibiility on stopping this.
Mobius, stop interacting with him, even in a round-about way, we can all see what you're doing and it's not clever and purely antagonistic. You're not clever in goading him and you're not funny in the slightest and nowhere near innocent.
Do not talk about, with or towards TheodoricFriede and your problems will halve.
TheodoricFriede, stop flying off the handle every time Mobius does post to, about, or near your or something you're discussing. Ignore his posts and all he becomes is a slight annoyance as you won't even have to read what's said. At most it'll become a notification at the top of the screen that will be removed once the thread has been accessed. Yo don't even need to look. If you stop reacting you give him less to respond to.
Now if one of you does what is suggested, and I don't care which one it is, preferably the both of you, you can both walk away from this today and we can all finally put this crap to rest that's been plaguing us since the first bloody split back in the BSN era!

Attack xenos? Oh, we'll shoot a few times, then stop and sort of mill around.
Go stand in this position? Nah, we'll randomly move to cover at bad times.
Get the fuck out of an enemy attack? Nah, we'll finish this long animation first that does like no damage.
Ooh, is that a one shot mechanic? Better not tell the player or in any way broadcast it before it happens!
Consistent visual design for danger? Nah, let's make a mark on the floor for it, but then randomly have the actual radius being 3 times bigger, also it one shots everyone.
Also your ability to actually fight back the tide of xenos is dependent on how many enemies you clear on the map, if you get any knockdowns on a mission, and how fast you go. Better go fast, avoid all the one shots, and clear 90% of enemies if you want to get more than one deployment a day! Also melee is a trap, despite multiple melee orientated units.
At this point, I'm going to beat it, then again on Primarch, out of hatred. Which I supposed is fitting for a Space Marine adventure.
Yeah, I don't even bother to screw around with my Force Commander on higher difficulties because he gets one-shot out of nothing. The best way to do things is to level up Cyrus until he gets the ability to use objects and abilities while cloaked and instantly revive people. Thaddius (the guy with the jetpack) is utterly worthless, so I never take him with me. Avitus is only good as long as he can suppress and giving him an anti-vehicle weapon is pretty much a must later on. Get Tarkus the ability that makes him invincible as long as his primary ability is active too. Satchel charges and remote detonators is pretty much how I do any destruction mission. I send in Cyrus, plant everything, tell him to GTFO and then blow it all when he comes back. Then I do it again.
If the game is going to be cheap, be cheap right back.

Despite the flaws I still enjoy big times DoWII, personally. DoW1 has the better gameplay, but I just enjoy the campaing's story so much more in the sequel.
Too bad Retribution cheapened on that, and is basically a short as fuck epilogue you can play with every faction, rather than a proper finale. But it was still far from the worst campaign ever.

More or less. The newest PPI (Nexium) works the best of all the ones we've tried so far. So fifth time's the key. Still need a long time to heal the damage, so while I can slowly introduce real food into the diet again, have to take it slow. Whatever the fuck I hurt in the pectoral area still isn't healed, but it's getting there. I figure it must've been nerve damage to still be hurt 5 months later, any muscle should've healed well before now. Still, I feel like an old man as my birthday approaches, heh.

Ayup. Was real humbling to pick up my 30 pounders and barely be able to curl them, then try to do pushups and fail at half a set. Thankfully I starved 30 pounds off, so there's not much fat left on me. Means that as soon as my stomach can handle it, I can bulk freely for faster recovery.

I pumped him to full health/melee, gave him +HP gear, and only use him after the enemy is engaged with Tarkus. I'm on Captain difficulty, and he's fairly resistant to death that way, but still sometimes he drops like a rock, and the fucking kill animation on his melee weapon runs way too long and can't be interrupted. Meanwhile Thaddius and Thule I outright cannot use at all without babysitting them every second of a fight. It's a shame, because I like the former a lot.

I have Chaos Rising, which I never played, don't have Ret. But my favorite faction is Imperial Guard, is Ret worth getting?

Once Thule gets the ability to regenerate health, he becomes a rather good damage sponge if nothing else. Until the Tyranid sniper shitheads steps up and one-shots everything because fuck you.

The campain is pretty "meh"... they basically made it shorter, and made 6 slight variations of it to let you choose your own faction instead of keep it focused just on the Sphess Murines. Don't really think it was a good idea, personally.
The Guard plays nice, it's a bit like a mix of 'Nids and Orks... aka their basic infantry is as strong as toilet paper, but their tanks and artillery is nice. And they have a pretty badass Inquisitor as their main hero.
Also, it adds a MOBA-like multiplayer mode that, unlike what happened with DoWIII, is actually pretty fun.

I've been using Outbreak Nutrition, and I have to say, it's effective. More effective than what I linked you a year ago. Reps and weight are up, fatigue is down, and the fat mass is shrinking.

Define "reviewers", because outlets like IGN as far as I'm concerned are reliable as a vampire in a blood bank.
I've seen a fair few gaming youtubers pretty happy of it.

In this case I was referring to Game Informer (which isn't as good as it used to be) and Giant Bomb (which is more entertainment then reviews).

Figured as much.
Probably a lot big outlet game "reviewers" just are not a fan of Kenshiro's "toxic masculinity", and had to bash the game on principle. Or some b.s. like that.

...Well no, they just didn't think it played well.
I dont really agree with that.
They also think Kenshiro is too one note, and tends to stick out during scenes. Which I really dont get, because that's half the point of the game. How utterly intense Ken is during the most absurd times. Such as mixing someone a drink and telling them "YOU ARE ALREADY DRUNK."

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
It was just a joke now
And yeah, I've seen some videos of the Barman Ken minigame and I was laughing my ass off.
Putting politics and political jokes aside (which is pretty hard nowadays, but let's try) I would imagine they probably didn't quite well know how to deal with an open world game that isn't the usual Ubisoft or Activision snorefest, and didn't quite get into it withing the time they dedicated to it. And/or that they focused on surface elements like the basic combat or how one dimensional Ken is... which is pretty accurate to the source material btw.
It's not quite a "too much water" situation, but I doubt the big reviewers did their homework correctly.

Windows 7 support is coming to an end in 2020, after that, Microsoft is going to charge an annually increasing fee for W7 updates until 2023.
Meanwhile W10's forced updates are installing Candy Crush and shit. What a grim sign.
Edit: I think one of you brought this up already, actually.

Microsoft did the same thing to XP, although they released updates that actively opened holes in security.
It's almost as if they want to have people buy their new products or something.

I just had a neat treat. In a 10 minute period I both saw a rocket launch from the comfort of my patio AND saw the rocket turn back around and return t0 the surface. Vol, is there a way for me to add an MP4 to the thread? It won't let me add it to attachments.

There's a 10MB limit on attachments, so that'd exclude most video. I'd remove the limit, since I manually authorize all users, but there's a file in the php somewhere that also has a limit on it, and I don't want to delve in and try to find it and fuck with it, since I'm not trained in web dev in the slightest.
Also how does a rocket turn around?

Beautifully, that's how. The second stage separates from the first and propelles away. The first stage then uses small jets to maneuver itself around and then uses gravity to fall back to earth. THEN, it fires its rockets one last time to slow it down. Here are some GIFs I made from the video.
Rocket moves from right to left. Second stage is bright dot in left of cloud in gif 2 &3, first stage on ride side. First stage is firing rockets to land in last Gif.

Well, I made the plunge and accepted an offer for a worker bee level IT job. I guess we'll see how it goes. It's one of those things that I don't think I could ever figure out if I want to do without trying it.
I'm putting in my two weeks notice on my current job today.

Read an article about it that morning. It said there was a landing as well as a launch. Didn't know they were both one in the same. Vandenberg AFB is north west of me and lucky me we had a clear sky, the sun was set and it's right outside my balcony.
